This is a great opportunity to join my client, a growing, well:respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in beautiful Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a diverse range of high:profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are currently on the lookout for a capable, experienced Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on a diverse array of challenging new projects. You will be working alongside a newly:established team of design experts, based in the picturesque, multicultural Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* Contributing to the design of a range of infrastructure projects and developments
* Overseeing the day:to:day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery
* Mentoring and supporting colleagues through their own professional development
* Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
* Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, etc.
* Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you uphold the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
* Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, and other events
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* A UK Bachelors Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
* Experience of working in a design:based role, within a UK:based consultancy or Local Authority setting
* Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
* Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
* Proficient in the use of various software systems (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar)
* Demonstrable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
* Experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders within the industry
* Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
* A Higher Degree (in a cognate discipline)
* Experience of preparing Flood Risk Assessments and/or Transport Assessments
* Experience of leading projects/teams
* Experience of working in a public:facing role
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
