Are you a content creator looking for a new role or additional hours as a Communications Officer – Digital Content? This is a 12-month fixed term contract working 15 hours per week, and we’re flexible when you’re able to work these hours over the working week or even on weekends.
This role could be ideal if you are looking to enhance your current income where you have the right expertise as a video and digital content creator.
Your primary base will be in Bristol however, we require you to be flexible and able to travel to our geographical locations to complete assignments.
About the Role
This role plays a key role in amplifying the voices of people supported by and working for Brandon, showcasing the value of working in social care and the impact our charity has, enhancing the organisation’s presence across digital platforms, using video and digital storytelling.
With an emphasis on video production, editing and publication, you will be responsible for creating compelling multi-media content.
This role will support the development and delivery of engaging communications, marketing and fundraising campaigns that align with Brandon’s vision, values, and organisational strategy.
This is a very hands-on role with time divided between film shoots on location and editing footage into useable content, including creating associated graphics and digital materials to publish and promote.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, the postholder will plan and produce high-quality video and digital content for internal and external channels – including the intranet, website, events and social media – to inspire, inform, and connect audiences while championing accessibility and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of dynamic, multi-media content, using a suite of Adobe software
Design and produce high-quality multi-media assets
Build internal capacity and skills by supporting Communications Champions
Monitor performance and feedback across digital channels to inform content decisions and improve effectiveness using data
What You’ll Bring.
Content creation experience, delivering engagement with multiple audiences
Experience of creating video, graphic and photographic materials, including post-production and publication
Experience of Adobe Creative Cloud - Premiere Pro is essential
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail with ability to multitask and work to deadlines is essential
Experience in a customer/public-facing role in a media, PR or agency setting
Ability to build strong and effective working relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate and competent with Microsoft products and content management systems, such as WordPress
Able to respond professionally and appropriately to sensitive circumstances
An interest to work in the charity sector and with people we support
Full driving licence and own transport, able and willing to travel on Brandon business across our areas of operation
