Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home Location: Birmingham Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of an established children's care provider for a Registered Manager to lead a new 3-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) residential home in Birmingham. This is a unique opportunity to manage a brand-new therapeutic provision from the ground up, shaping the home's culture, embedding high-quality care, and building a committed and child-focused team. Our client is open to applications from experienced Registered Managers and Deputy Managers ready to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities Oversee the registration of the home with OFSTED and ensure ongoing full regulatory compliance Provide strong and effective leadership to the care team Promote a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to supporting young people with complex emotional needs Develop and maintain individualised care plans in line with each young person's needs Monitor and improve the home's performance through audits, quality assurance and staff supervision Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the service Lead on all OFSTED inspections, ensuring a consistent focus on meeting the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards Build positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies Manage the home's budget, staffing, and day-to-day operations Requirements Essential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it) Minimum 2 years' experience working in a senior role in a children's residential setting (Deputy or Registered Manager) Strong understanding of OFSTED requirements, safeguarding legislation, and The Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 Experience working with children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours Proven leadership, communication, and organisational skills Full UK driving licence Desirable: Previous experience setting up or registering a new children's home Background in therapeutic or trauma-informed care models What's on Offer Competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience) Opportunity to lead a new therapeutic children's home Career development, training and ongoing professional support The chance to make a real impact on the lives of vulnerable young people INDRM Leader Recruitment Group is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
