What’s the Job About?
As a Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in helping steer engineering projects from start to finish. From planning and design to getting things built on‑site, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, stays on budget, and hits all the right safety and quality notes. You’ll be responsible for project planning, engineering design, procurement, and on‑site construction support for fuel pipeline infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Project Planning & Management: Oversee projects from approval to handover. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules. Monitor budgets and staff‑hours to ensure targets are met. Ensure delivery meets company standards and client expectations.
* Design: Develop engineering solutions and technical drawings to required standards. Lead design reviews and manage associated risks. Ensure compliance with company, client, national, and international standards.
* Procurement: Prepare and evaluate contract documentation. Recommend suppliers and approve payments. Track project spend and manage cost efficiency.
* Construction & Commissioning: Manage on‑site construction activities and contracts. Promote and ensure high standards of health and safety. Support commissioning planning and execution.
What You’ll Need
* Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering
* Experience in designing and developing new control systems, testing and modifying existing systems, analysing data and presenting findings in written reports.
* Experience in project delivery, with awareness of cost/time constraints, equipment procurement, and readiness to take responsibility and make informed decisions.
* Team player with good problem‑solving, critical thinking, numeracy, and communication skills
* Proficient in MS Office applications.
* Full UK driving licence is essential.
Salary
Base salary of £35,000 - £40,000
