Robertson Bell are supporting a charity to recruit an Interim Finance Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a hands-on role within a busy finance function, ideal for someone who enjoys working with high transaction volumes and takes real pride in accuracy and process.
The organisation is looking for a detail-driven individual who can manage a steady flow of transactions end to end, ensuring records are accurate, reconciled and fully supported. While transaction values are modest, the pace is fast, requiring strong focus and consistency throughout the day.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Processing a high volume of daily finance transactions from start to finish.
2. Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring all items are correctly recorded.
3. Reviewing and processing invoices, ensuring they align with contracts and agreements.
4. Chasing outstanding invoices and liaising with suppliers to resolve queries.
5. Maintaining accurate and well-organised financial records.
The successful candidate will:
6. Have exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
7. Be comfortable processing a high volume of transactions at pace.
8. Have prior experience in a finance assistant, cashier or transactional finance role.
9. It is essential to have used NetSuite (minimum six months’ usage, not necessarily recent).
10. Be reliable, organised and keen to build a longer-term role within a charity environment.
