A chance to thrive
We’re looking for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Containers Platform team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.
You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing our container platform, leveraging Amazon EKS to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
This role will be key in enabling cloud-native transformation, influencing how we deploy and manage workloads across our Kubernetes cluster.
You’ll get to play a large part in helping to shape and modernise our application workloads and bring these on to the platform.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and engineering teams, shaping future ways of working and contributing to strategic platform decisions.
It’s a great time to join as we scale our emerging containers platform—your contributions will directly impact its evolution.
Unlike many roles, you’ll have ownership of container solutions, from design to deployment, in a fast-moving, cloud-native environment. You’ll influence platform standards and best practices, not just follow them.
You’ll work alongside other Containers Team Systems Engineers, DevOps Specialists, Application and Security Engineering teams and be close to our Design and Architect functions.
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you’ll collaborate with Product Owners, the Product Manager and Agile delivery teams.
You will have the opportunity to gain certifications such as CKA/CKAD, working your way towards becoming a fully certified Kubestronaut! 6 Days per year of dedicated training is offered for all colleagues.
