Salary on appointment will be £26,707 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £30,378 per annum (pro rata).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Administrator to join the School of Health Sciences at UEA, supporting the delivery of work within the Research Capacity Development (RCD) team as part of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East of England.
The RCD programmes provide funding and training opportunities for health and care staff, as well as academics at all career stages, to support the development of research capacity across the East of England. The post holder will work under the supervision and guidance of the RCD leads (Dr Naoko Kishita and Dr Sion Scott).
Key responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality administrative support to the RCD Team.
* Deliver comprehensive administrative support to ensure the effective operation and development of RCD programmes and activities, working closely with an experienced Research Administrator within the team.
* Prepare documents, reports and financial summaries; support application processes for open funding calls; collect data for programme evaluation; organise events; and assist with budget management to ensure the timely delivery of activities and outputs.
* Work closely with UEA Research & Innovation Services, the school finance team, and the ARC East of England central team, as well as a range of stakeholders, including service users, health and social care professionals, and local authority partners.
This is a part‑time position (0.4 FTE, equivalent to 2 days per week) available immediately on a fixed‑term basis until 31 March 2028. The post may be extended subject to the availability of funding.
Secondments will be considered for existing UEA staff, subject to prior approval from their line manager. Evidence of this approval must be included in the personal statement, and arrangements will be discussed further at interview.
