Position Details
Base: GGC - CLYDE, covering Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) and Inverclyde Royal Hospital (IRH). This is a fixed-term post of 12 months.
This role offers 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) across two Clyde Hospitals and additional links to the Alan Lyell Centre for Dermatology in Glasgow. The post may require working at other locations as directed by the Clinical Service Lead.
Department and Services
Adult dermatology services are provided by the dermatology directorate, working on a hub and spoke model with specialized services at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. The regional center serves approximately 1.5 million in the West of Scotland.
Team and Special Interests
The team includes Consultants, Specialty doctors, GP clinical assistants, and dermatology nurses. Interests include cutaneous surgery, skin cancer, photodermatology, contact dermatitis, severe psoriasis, and more.
Candidate Requirements
* Full GMC registration and a license to practice.
* MRCP or equivalent qualification.
* Eligibility for the Specialist Register, with evidence of higher specialist training in Dermatology leading to CCT or equivalent.
* UK-trained candidates should demonstrate evidence of higher specialist training or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the interview date.
* Non-UK candidates must demonstrate equivalent training.
