The Role
:
As a Solicitor in a Family / Matrimonial department, you will independently handle client cases, with access to shared secretarial assistance.
Hybrid working options available for established firm members.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage allocated client work, adhering to firm procedures and quality standards.
2. Ensure timely progress updates and cost transparency to clients.
3. Uphold confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation.
4. Achieve agreed billing and time recording targets.
5. Exercise professional client care and maintain clear communication within the firm.
6. Oversee credit control for assigned matters in collaboration with the bookkeeper.
7. Maintain positive relationships with external institutions and organisations.
8. Supervise, support, and develop immediate support staff.
9. Take responsibility for self-development and compliance with training requirements.
10. Actively promote the firm's services and uphold its image and ethos.
Requirements:
11. Previously worked as a Family solicitor, Family Lawyer or in a similar role.
12. Possess 3 - 4 years PQE in Family / Matrimonial law.
13. Membership of Resolution and/or Law Society Family Law Accreditation Scheme would be beneficial.
14. Familiarity with Solicitors Accounts Rules and Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
15. Proven ability to work independently with strong client care skills.
16. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
