Total Engineering & Design Ltd. is a project engineering design and drafting company specialising in delivering detailed engineering design solutions to our clients across a range of engineering disciplines - Mechanical, piping, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation & control.
We deliver these solutions across different global manufacturing industries including chemical, process, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, and man-made fibres.
Job Description:
Provide electrical engineering input on plant design projects, including preparation of project design packages for procurement and construction based on customer requirements, statutory legislation, best industry practices and company standards.
Responsibilities:
 * Collect information from the customer through documentation, meetings, site surveys and other communications.
 * Engage with scheduling, resource monitoring and any relevant project management activities.
 * Collate technical data, and organise for incorporation into specifications and design.
 * Prepare designs for review.
 * Incorporate best practices from own knowledge and experience, in-house and customer standards and relevant statutory requirements.
 * Make use of electrical single-line and schematic drawings through involvement in their development, CAD drafting, revision and review.
 * Provide a valuable contribution to the project design environment.
 * Take part in personal development and company development programmes.
Requirements:
Essential:
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Desirable:
Experience of projects within the Process / Facilities / Manufacturing industry or within a project engineering design environment.
Experience of engineering design practices which may include:
 * CAD capability
 * Electrical cable sizing calculations
 * Electrical schematic design
 * Knowledge of Industrial communications protocols
 * Surveying of existing installations
Hours of Work:
This is an office based, full-time post, Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
