We are a training practice with a list size of 17000 patients across West Lancs. We have 2 branches in Skelmersdale, 1 in Southport and 1 in Ormskirk. We are recruiting for a GP to join our team Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

We work hard to ensure that our GPs are motivated and engaged in contributing to a supportive culture of mutual learning. We enjoy monthly training afternoons for the whole team to come together to share learning creating a collaborative, supportive environment for the entire team.
We are purposeful in our efforts to manage GP workload and ensure sustainability, having developed a diverse and large team of support staff over recent years dealing with many admin tasks including referral, prescriptions and path links. We have clinical support in-house pharmacists, a nursing and HCA team and our Advanced Practitioners.
Job Summary
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients.
* Clinical Responsibilities: making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, assessing the health care needs of patients, recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes, screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Other Responsibilities: awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, contributing to the development of computer-based patient records, coding patient data, contributing to evaluation/audit and clinical standard setting.
Person Specification
Essential: Full GMC Registration, contemporaneous appraisal and re-validation history, Full driving licence, Excellent communication skills.
* Desirable: Familiarity with working with clinical software.
