P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking an Inspector to join their team based in Norwich on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
The role of quality control inspector is to ensure that all products meet the quality requirements of the customer and the organisation. This position reports directly to the Chief Inspector. As a hands-on mechanical inspector, you will be responsible for executing general inspection functions both visual and dimensional, including correctly and properly using mechanical measuring devices and reporting results.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform complete inspections to engineering drawings.
* Conduct measurements such as length, height and distance, using precision instruments such as micrometres, vernier callipers, dial test indicators, Faro arm and coordinate measuring machine.
* Locate datums on parts and measure dimensions such as angle, arc and radii using a combination of aids such as parallel bars, gauge blocks, v blocks, sine bars and precision measuring instruments such as a digital height gauge.
* Visually compare work pieces against one another to assess in process manufacturing variations.
* Report quality problems or findings to the chief inspector and follow up to ensure corrective action has been put in place.
