Band D 20.00 Working Hours – 39 Weeks per Year Fender Primary School and Ganey’s Meadow School and Family Centre are seeking to appoint a joint part time caretaker for our popular, inclusive and thriving schools which share a site. Both schools are well regarded by the local community and are located on the Woodchurch Estate. As our morning Caretaker, your role and duties (including security, routine repair work, maintenance, and compliance) will be split evenly between the two schools. This role is a permanent part-time position following the retirement of our previous caretaker and you will be working under the guidance of our full time Site Manager. The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate a commitment to working with the Site Manager to ensure our schools are always the best they can be. Be hardworking and flexible with a can-do attitude. Have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner and a willingness to learn new skills. Be able to identify and prioritise tasks. Have a good standard of DIY skills in joinery, plumbing, painting and general maintenance. Have an awareness of health and safety requirements. Be a team player and have good communication and interpersonal skills. Understand the importance of confidentiality and following safeguarding and other policies.
