Intro
Cedar is currently partnered with an impressive PE-backed Technology business, to secure an Interim Operational Finance Manager. This role is offered on a 3-month contract, based in Central London, with a hybrid working model and an expected day rate of £350-400 (Inside IR35).

The Role
As Interim Operational Finance Manager, you will:
* Oversee daily finance operations, including AP/AR review, supplier ledger management, and accurate multi-entity, multi-currency bank postings.
* Ensure strong balance sheet control through monthly reconciliations and clear audit trails.
* Produce monthly cost centre reports with variance analysis.
* Collaborate with operational finance to allocate overheads, resolve coding issues, and enhance AP, AR, and cash management processes.
* Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance and analysing trends across periods.
* Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting, focusing on fixed and semi-fixed overheads, and partner with FP&A and department leads to clarify cost drivers and headcount shifts.
* Maintain and enhance internal reporting tools, driving process improvements and automation in month-end and reporting cycles.
* Support external audits and board reporting, ensuring adherence to statutory and internal control requirements.
Your Profile
You will ideally have:
* A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Previous experience in operational accounting, including AP & AR processes.
* Previous experience in contracting roles is preferred but not essential.
* The day rate offered represents a fair value or logical increase on your current salary or day rate.
* Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
Compensation & Benefits
This Interim Operational Finance Manager role offers a day rate of £350-400 (Inside IR35), along with the opportunity to play a key role in a high-growth, private equity-backed tech business which is rapidly expanding. The role is hybrid, with around 2-3 days per week in their Central London offices, which are easily accessible via numerous public transport links.
