Are you an experienced Project and Programme Manager looking for an exciting new opportunity within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? West Berkshire Council is seeking a talented individual to join our Transformation Service as a Project and Programme Manager, reporting to the Accommodation Review Manager. The Role Responsibilities As a Project and Programme Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of transformation projects and programmes across the Council. You will be responsible for: Managing and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with project leads and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Conducting regular project reviews and providing updates to the Service Manager and other key stakeholders. Identifying and managing project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies. Leading and facilitating project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among project teams. Providing expert advice and guidance on project management methodologies and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: Proven experience in project and programme management, ideally within a public sector or local government environment. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels. Effective leadership and team management abilities, with experience in guiding project teams towards successful outcomes. Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proactive and solution-focused, with a strong ability to identify and resolve issues.
