Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer looking for a role where your expertise helps keep homes and communities safe every day?
Reporting to the Facilities Services Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, servicing, fault-finding, and commissioning fire safety systems across our properties and network buildings.
This is a field-based role, and you’ll be provided with a company van to travel across Coventry, Wolverhampton, and surrounding areas, supporting customers across our housing portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, and commissioning fire alarm systems
* Carrying out PPMs, emergency lighting tests, and minor repairs
* Working on addressable and conventional fire alarm systems, including AOV and MOV systems
* Installing and commissioning new or replacement systems
* Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and within agreed timescales
* Recording work completed using company systems and maintaining certification records
* Providing excellent customer service and supporting continuous service improvement
* Following all Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and safeguarding responsibilities
* Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems over several years
* Strong knowledge of BS5839 standards
* Experience working with AOV and MOV systems
* Experience maintaining and repairing emergency lighting systems
* Ability to work independently using initiative, while also contributing effectively within a team
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Reliable, organised, and professional approach to work
* Confidence using tablets, smartphones, digital systems, and email
Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
* BS5839 – Fire Detection and Alarm Systems
* Manufacturer product knowledge across a range of fire alarm systems
* Good understanding of fire safety compliance and maintenance standards
* Ability to problem-solve and find practical solutions
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Ability to complete an enhanced DBS check (Provided by BFL)
* Willingness to work safely and responsibly across all locations
* Commitment to wearing PPE and following all Health & Safety procedures
