Warehouse Operative Temp to Perm
* Location: IP5
* Job Type: Full-time - Mon to Fri 7.30am to 4.30pm
* Salary: £25,500pa
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient handling and management of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, shipping, and preparing goods for delivery. The successful candidate will maintain safety and order within the warehouse environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Receive materials from carriers, customers, or other warehouses, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
* Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking against packing lists and documentation.
* Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and report any discrepancies.
* Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
* Assemble and fill customer orders, prepare shipping documents, and review orders for accuracy.
* Safely and accurately cut lengths of tubing and copper pipes.
* Address and report maintenance issues for warehouse equipment.
* Operate all equipment safely and perform regular maintenance checks.
* Accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on cycle counts.
* Coordinate the loading/unloading of warehouse consignments and shipments/despatches with relevant details.
* Operate inventory control equipment and a Reach Truck for handling palletised equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Reach Forklift Truck Licence is essential.
* Proven ability to safely operate necessary machinery and equipment, including forklifts.
* Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
* Ability to identify products by size, type, style, colour, or product code.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to handle manual tasks including lifting items up to 15Kg with assistance from lifting equipment.
