Vale Centre for Health & Care

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.


This is a Fixed term post for 12 months.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

Applicants must be available for a face to face interview on 16th December, we are unable to accommodate interviews at any other date.

We have a 25 hour post, available for a dynamic and forward thinking individual, you will be based in the Vale Centre for Health and Care, but may be required to work across West Dunbartonshire HSCP.

You will provide effective Facilities Support to the Community Admin Team providing opening/lock up service to our buildings, comprehensive caretaking and security to facilitate the smooth running of our health centres. The post holder will work to a rota covering a combination of Early and Back shifts (example detailed below).

The Facilities Support role is a varied post which involves stock ordering, receiving and distributing stores, mail and samples collection/distribution, litter picking, gritting / snow clearing in winter months, greet and direct patients to practices/clinics. You will work within clearly defined protocols and procedures, adhering to policies, data protection and confidentiality.

After initial induction and on the job training, the post holder will work with minimum supervision (at times lone working) although guidance and assistance is available from line manager(s).
