JOB TITLE: Senior Demand Planning Manager
REPORTS TO: Head of Demand & Supply Planning EMEA
LOCATION: UK, Leeds Thorpe Park

OVERVIEW:
The Demand Planning team are responsible for ensuring the demand signal that flows through the supply chain systems is pressure tested and is a realistic reflection of the sales that are anticipated at sku level to hit the Business plan revenues in regional and country in SharkNinja’s rapidly growing EMEA business. As Senior Demand Planning Manager you will interface with Regional Commercial Planning, Sales and Operations teams, and the global supply planning function to facilitate clear reporting on warehouse & inbound inventory, highlighting any risks and opportunities and ensuring any resulting actions are executed by the relevant teams. Your team will also be responsible for directing the Inbound movements to the right DC and ensuring that the stock sits in the appropriate sub-inventory to supply the relevant demand route. The role is also key to providing visibility and management of the Excess and Overstock process, as well as ensuring that product coming to the end of life is managed out of the business with minimal cost exposure. This role would suit an ambitious individual with prior experience in a supply/demand planning, who has demonstrated skills as a leader of a key functional area within a Business and the ability to communicate at all Business levels, being able to summarise complex problems into simple solution steps.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do (RESPONSIBILITIES):
1. Lead and develop a team, ensuring that there are clear two way communications routes, individuals are able to fulfil their potential, either by formal training, experiential learning or coaching.
2. Support a process within the team, whereby data is turned into Business insight, with associated actions
3. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators that show effectiveness of the Supply process
4. Develop processes and ways of working that support the growth ambitions of the UK/EU Region
5. Reporting on Shark Ninja weeks of Supply position highlighting any risks
6. Monitor attainment vs Forecast and react to findings
7. Own monthly stock cover forecast for the Region, highlighting areas where there are shortfalls and develop plans and strategies that ensure full supply, including supporting a business case for further investment in supply capacity.
8. Identify excess inventory risks early and develop and execute mitigations working with Regional Commercial, Sales and Logistics teams
9. Provide an Opportunities list of sku’s where the stock cover would support additional sales to enable Commercial growth targets to be met
10. Provide a Regional Operating forecast, by DC, to include storage, throughput and market coverage, highlighting where capacity constraints exist.
11. Support the Regional and Country S&OP process to ensure that there is an aligned view of demand and supply.
12. Define and deliver against key metrics for end-to-end supply chain
13. Collaborate with various business stakeholders across the organization to gather relevant data
14. Manage reporting and executing necessary actions to ensure alignment with forecasts
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS (REQUIREMENTS):
15. Demonstrated functional knowledge and experience in concepts of Supply Chain, S&OP and Inventory Planning
16. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills to develop the Demand Planning process, both weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually to ensure that there is sufficient challenge in the process
17. Be able to lead a team of Demand Planners to ensure targets are balanced and achieved, recognize strengths in the team and developing them
18. Ability to multi-task and time manage independently; ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
19. Strong attention to detail, feeling comfortable to challenge at all levels and follow-through ideas and concepts to delivery
20. Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint; Domo/Power BI knowledge an advantage
21. An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working in a dynamic, fun, fast-paced environment.
22. A team oriented and collaborative approach. Proven results building effective long-term relationships at all levels, internally and externally, and go the extra mile for customers.
23. Ability to communicate for impact, both in writing and verbally.
Education and Experience:
24. Minimum 5 years experience in a Supply/Demand Planning function
25. Previous experience in consumer goods industry is preferred
26. Experience of using BI system desirable (Domo/Power BI or similar)
27. Experience of using demand and supply planning software desirable (Blue Yonder an advantage)
