Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes
Newstaff Employment is hiring experienced and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistants in Milton Keynes to join our dedicated supply team. This rewarding and flexible role involves working across schools and educational centres in Leighton Buzzard and Bedfordshire, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £15.00 – £16.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm or 8:30 am – 1:00 pm (term time only)

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
2. Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
3. Encourage engagement, learning, and emotional development.
4. Support children 1:1 or in small groups to meet individual targets.
5. Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
6. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
Essential Requirements
7. Proven experience working with SEN pupils in an educational setting.
8. A relevant childcare or SEN qualification (preferred).
9. Strong understanding of SEN support and child development.
10. Positive, caring, and adaptable attitude.
11. Right to work in the UK.
12. Ability to provide two professional references.
13. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one with our assistance).
