Adult Audiologist

The Hearing service at Basildon Hospital is looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals to start their career within an interesting and highly rewarding profession.
We are looking for a Band 5 Audiologist to join the team. Depending on your skills and qualifications, you will work within the adult service diagnosing and managing the care of those with hearing and balance difficulties.

Main duties of the job
The role will encompass all routine diagnostic and rehabilitative aspects of adult audiology, including access to the new Community Diagnostic Centre.
The post is full time hours over a 4 day week (8am - 5.45/6pm) and works across both Basildon & Orsett Hospitals and Thurrock CDC.

You will be expected to provide audiological support to the adult service. You will be required to assess, fit, verify and maintain all types of hearing aid to the adult population.
You will be fully involved in the decision making process and thus the success of this service development.

Person Specification
Qualification
 * BSc Audiology or equivalent
 * Registration with AHCS / HCPC as a clinical scientist
Experience
 * Demonstrable experience with a range of hearing aids
 * Experience working in NHS Audiology service
 * Knowledge/experience of Auditbase use
