* In this key role, you’ll be responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships within the Mid-Market Commercial Banking team.
* Build a brand that positions our innovation economy team as the bank of choice for the innovation economy.
* Seek out and develop a referral network through business activities and relationship development.
What you'll do
As an Innovation Economy Relationship Manager, you’ll promote a culture of innovation and customer-centricity. Your responsibilities include developing new business by acquiring and deepening relationships, and leading internal strategic discussions across solutions including credit and payments.
* Identify top companies in the innovation economy and connect with their key executives.
* Manage credit, operational, and reputational risks.
* Support the startup ecosystem and entrepreneurship proactively.
* Stay informed of industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or partnerships.
* Ensure client acquisition and maintain ongoing relationships with innovative companies.
The skills you'll need
Candidates should have experience within the UK innovation economy and venture ecosystem, with a proven track record in sourcing and managing complex sales opportunities in areas such as commercial banking, venture debt, venture capital, or related technology services.
Additional requirements include:
* A good understanding of commercial banking products and services.
* Experience in sales management and business development.
* Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility and partnerships with senior stakeholders.
