Van / LCV Technician Needed in Oldham
1. Location: Oldham
2. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (40-hour week) + 1 in 3 Saturday rota
3. Salary: Basic up to £35,000 + Overtime (paid at 1.5x) + Bonus
4. OTE: £45,000
Our client, a well-established, family-run franchised dealer group – is seeking an experienced Van / LCV Technician to join their expanding team in Oldham. Key Responsibilities for the Van Technician:
5. Service, maintain, and repair Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs)
6. Carry out pre-delivery inspections to manufacturer standards
7. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
8. Complete repairs efficiently, adhering to brand guidelines and safety standards
9. Communicate with the Service Advisor team regarding any additional work required
10. Perform road tests and quality checks post-repair
11. Ensure accurate completion of job cards and service documentation
What We’re Looking For:
12. Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
13. A minimum of 3 years' experience working on LCVs or similar vehicles, ideally within a franchised dealership
14. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
15. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude
16. Full UK driving licence
