Join a Leading SEMH Secondary School in TeessideHays Education is seeking an experienced Assistant Head Teacher with SEMH expertise to take on an interim leadership role in a dynamic secondary school setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an education leader passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and operational support across the school.
* Collaborate with the Interim Head Teacher to deliver school improvement plans.
* Drive high standards in teaching, learning, and pupil wellbeing.
* Lead and inspire staff teams to create a positive, inclusive environment.
Essential Requirements:
* Proven leadership experience within an educational setting (Assistant Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, or similar).
* Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and experience supporting pupils with complex needs.
* Ability to lead change and motivate staff effectively.
* Immediate availability and commitment for at least one term.
Contract Details:
* Supply basis through Hays Education.
* Initially for one term, with potential extension until the end of the summer term.
