MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide an administrative service to the BCSP Management Team in order to support the effective delivery of the Programme.
* Admit and discharge patients to the ward ensuring procedures are added to the patient administration system.
* Assist the BCSP Co-Ordinator/Lead Administrator to establish and develop Standard Operating Procedures for all administrative tasks in order to provide a seamless service.
* Maintain regular communication with Primary Care with regards to patient activity, and ensure GP practice information is up to date.
* In support of the National Programme, maintain the BCSP national database and report any anomalies to NHS Digital Helpdesk.
* Participate in Trust annual essential training, Information Governance training and educational/awareness sessions as identified by the BCSP and through the Appraisal Process.
* To communicate effectively with patients, providing appropriate advice regarding appointments and correspondence.
* To gain a broad knowledge and understanding of the Quality Assurance Standards, National Right Results Pathways and supporting policies and publications endorsed by NHS Commissioning Boards and the Programme National Team.
* To arrange patient pathways by ensuring clinic and procedure appointments are booked onto relevant systems within programme timescales.
* To ensure all pathway documentation is available for clinics and procedure appointments, in agreement with department work instructions.
* To carry out daily administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the service, this includes actions from emails and telephone calls, despatch and receive mail, maintain availability and correct labelling of documentation for despatch to scanning, and covering reception.
* Ensure adequate supplies of stationary, consumables, Patient Information Leaflets, PPE consumables and office equipment as appropriate.
* Ensure the security, maintenance and cleanliness of personal office accommodation and equipment is upheld.
* Adhere to COVID-19 Policies and procedures.
* Support Clinical Staff on the ensuring all patient data is captured correctly in order to support the patient pathway and correct outcomes achieved.
* Be prepared to support patients requiring assistance or advice by referring to the correct member of staff.
