We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Chorley to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from 23rd February until the end of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated HLTA who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact on their learning and confidence.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
* Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Work with small groups and individuals to raise attainment
* Assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities
* Provide feedback on pupil progress and behaviour
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold HLTA status or have relevant experience at HLTA level
* Have experience working in a secondary school setting
* Be confident managing whole-class learning
* Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
* Be flexible, proactive and committed to supporting students
* Have a genuine passion for education and safeguarding

Safeguarding is a priority, and successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
