My client, a top international law firm, is actively seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London office – working as their new Compliance Office, focusing mainly on Conflicts (with some AML).
The team advise the firm on a full range of regulatory and legal issues which may affect the business. You’ll be working within their Business Acceptance team – ensuring all new clients and matters are opened in line with the firm’s procedures.
As the successful Compliance Officer, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
* Conducting conflict searches and sending results to fee-earners for review
* Monitoring updates on sanctions
* Ensuring conflict searches are completed in line with firm policy
* Reviewing new client and matter requests
* Responding to queries regarding client and matter opening
* Sending Terms and Conditions to new clients
* Monitoring the shared team inbox
* Delivering training when necessary

To be considered for this opportunity, you’ll need to have/be the following:
* A minimum of 12 months experience in a law firm, focusing on Legal Risk & Compliance (ideally conflicts focused)
* Be able to confidently liaise with fee-earners and senior stakeholders
* Have experience using Intapp
* Have excellent research skills
* Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
