FOOTBALL AND EDUCATION PROGRAMME (FEP) COACH (BOYS AND GIRLS TEAMS) (CASUAL) ​ Birmingham City Football Club Foundation - Transforming the city through the power of football ​ Join us at an exciting time of growth and transformation as Birmingham City FC continues to make waves on the world stage. Due to expansion of our FEP offering we are seeking additional experienced, passionate and creative individuals to join us to coach and manage our 16-19 Football and Education teams. The ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and has experience of working in a similar role. ​ The role Working closely with the Football and Education Programme Manager you will play an active part in delivering the FEP playing philosophy to learners aged between 16 – 19. We have boys and girls team and due to the success of our Football and Education Programme need additional coaches to join the team. Creating and planning coaching session which enable individual learners to develop their skills and abilities in a safe and fun environment. Promoting healthy lifestyle choices and provide educational information through the power of sport. Ensuring that Safeguarding is at the heart of all our work you will apply best practices and policies in all aspects of student support and sessions. Developing and maintaining positive professional relationships with young people, engaging them in their learning and the FEP playing philosophy. ​ The Team BCFC Foundation Football & Education department aims to deliver outstanding provisions across its academic provisions and football development provisions. Staff will bring their industry-based experience in sport as well as their knowledge and experience in supporting the development of all participants involved within the 16-19 programme with Birmingham City Foundation and act as an ambassador of BCFC Foundation. ​ The Person As a strong team player, you will be part of the team that delivers a cohesive and inspiring FEP offering to student whilst remaining focused on your own team and their needs. You must be organised with excellent communication and team working skills and be able to your team and all the associated processes including Health and Safety compliance, Safeguarding reporting, match day requirements and planning coaching session. With previous experience of working collaboratively across the organisation with all stakeholders. Competency in IT and Mobile Technology is a must. The successful candidate will have previous coaching experience working directly with vulnerable young people, with a minimum of UEFA C level qualification. Experience of working in a Football Club or a CCO would be advantageous but not essential.
