Role Summary
As a Business Analyst in Deloitte Digital's Commerce offering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital commerce for our global clients. You will guide clients through the evolving digital landscape, leveraging cutting‑edge technologies to build resilient, scalable, and customer‑centric commerce platforms.
Responsibilities
* Identify and translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable solutions, driving discovery phases and shaping strategic initiatives.
* Elucidate, analyse, and document detailed business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications, ensuring alignment between client vision and technical delivery.
* Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including designers, architects, developers, test engineers and delivery leads—to facilitate seamless execution of product delivery.
* Coordinate delivery efforts, applying agile methodologies, and contribute to data analysis and visualisation to inform decision‑making and optimise customer journeys.
* Act as a trusted point of contact for client stakeholders, cultivating strong relationships and ensuring solutions contribute directly to their business goals.
* Make a significant and meaningful impact, transforming how businesses connect with their customers in a rapidly changing digital world.
Qualifications & Experience
* Significant experience in agile software development projects as a Business Analyst or adjacent role.
* Proven ability in requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation (user stories, functional specifications), process mapping and use‑case development.
* Demonstrable experience with leading commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Commerce Tools, SAP Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus) and strong understanding of the digital commerce ecosystem.
* Familiarity with composable commerce architectures and MACH principles (Microservices, API‑first, Cloud‑native, Headless).
* Deep understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
* Ability to perform data analysis, interpret key metrics, and use data visualisation for requirements optimisation; customer journey mapping proficiency is highly valued.
* Practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI in commerce, including eliciting requirements for AI‑driven features.
* Exceptional client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
* Strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring ability.
* Proactive and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
