GSL Education are seeking a passionate Science Teacher to work in Barnsley, including the S70 and S71 areas, delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that develop scientific knowledge, practical skills, and curiosity, while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where students can succeed. Main Responsibilities: Deliver structured Science lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach Science across Key Stages, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Plan and conduct practical experiments safely and effectively. Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience working as a Science Teacher in a school setting. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). What’s in It for You?
