Delivery Driver
Our Self-Employed Core Delivery Drivers provide a reliable delivery service across six days a week (Monday to Saturday). With plenty of parcels, there is opportunity to earn while joining Yodel’s wider team. No prior experience is required; the more you deliver, the more you earn.

Competitive rates for each parcel you deliver or collect
Typically, our Delivery Drivers can earn between £18 - £20 per hour (paid per parcel). Rates are enhanced to reflect business mileage and operational costs. It’s a total gamechanger.
Daily & Weekly Payment Options
Flexible payment options are available. You can access earnings from the next day via an app, or join the weekly payment cycle (which starts after four weeks of completed deliveries).
Both options allow you to receive more regular payments for the services you provide.
We have plenty of parcels that need delivering and collecting
Parcels weigh up to 15 kg and vary in size. You can realistically deliver and collect between 16-25 parcels per hour depending on area and experience, six days a week, with earnings increasing as you take on more parcels.
Freedom, flexibility and local work
Plan your own route or use our app with built-in optimization to assist with route planning and customer communication.
Regular work in the same area
We deliver for major retailers, so there’s a steady stream of parcels. Stay local and get to know the roads and customers.
Development and support
You have independence as a self-employed driver, plus support from our expert team and a Yodel representative to answer questions.
The Life of a Core Delivery Driver
Each day is what you make it. Plan your own route to keep things interesting, and use your mobile to scan parcels and ensure safe receipt by customers. We arrange parcel collection times daily or, for rural areas, can arrange delivery to you.

What you’ll need to show us
No prior experience needed—we provide full training and support.
To get started please have:
* Insured car or van (up to 3.5 tonnes)
* Full UK or EU/EEA Driving Licence
* Proof of Right to Work in the UK
* iOS or Android smartphone
* Proof of own bank account
* Great attitude
