SEN Teaching Assistant – Wakefield
£100 per day | Full-time | Immediate Start
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming and inclusive specalist school in Wakefield.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 or small group basis
Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning activities
Promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs where required
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, or support setting)
Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
3 years of references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
