Wargrave House School (ages 5 – 16) & Ascent College (ages 16 – 25) operate a non-maintained special school and independent specialist college with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to Autistic young people. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society The Role As a GCSE subject specialist, you will: Deliver high-quality teaching in English, Maths or Science Teach small class sizes (typically 6–8 students), enabling personalised learning Differentiate effectively to meet a range of needs Work collaboratively with Teaching Support Assistants and specialist teams Contribute to raising standards and Learner achievement Support both the academic and personal development of Learners. Support and Environment We provide a highly supportive teaching environment, including: Dedicated Teaching Support Assistants in every classroom A consistent and structured approach to behaviour support Access to therapeutic and specialist services A focus on understanding behaviour as communication This ensures you are fully supported to focus on teaching and learning.
