Male Support Worker Pay rate: £14.00 per hour
Shift pattern: 22 and 24 hour shifts working a day shift and sleep in shift working around 30 hours per week - 4 week rolling rota.
A dedicated and compassionate Support Worker is required to provide person-centred support for an individual with Autism and Learning Disabilities living in Tamworth. This role involves supporting daily life management while promoting independence, structure, and positive routines.
Please note that this role requires an average of 30 hours per week; therefore, applicants must have full rights to work in the UK without restrictions on hours & you must have a full UK drivers license with access to your own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities: Supporting daily life management and organisational skills
Accompanying to activities, gym sessions, cinema trips, and outdoor visits (including National Trust properties)
Supporting attendance at social outings such as meals out, while encouraging balanced lifestyle choices
Assisting with budgeting skills and promoting financial awareness to support living within agreed means
Supporting meal planning and cooking, encouraging healthy routines
Providing support around the home
Working sensitively around daily challenges and structured schedules
Role modelling positive behaviours and decision-making
Providing mentoring support
About the Individual: Enjoys the outdoors, walking, gym sessions, cinema, and food/cooking
Has a busy daily schedule and strong social interests
Maintains a close relationship with parents
About You: Have a full UK drivers license & access to your own vehicle
Experience supporting individuals with Autism - Required
Calm, patient, and able to communicate clearly and evenly
Able to take time to explain information in a supportive and structured way
Strong understanding of safeguarding and GDPR requirements
Ability to encourage independence while maintaining appropriate boundaries
