Job Title: Senior Clinical Practitioner
As a Senior Clinical Practitioner, you will be part of a team committed to continuous improvement, shared learning, and best practice. We are passionate about providing patients with the highest quality care.
1. Holistically assess and clinically examine patients within your scope of competence, using history taking, physical examinations, and appropriate tools to confirm diagnoses. Plan, implement, and evaluate effective management plans with support from senior colleagues.
2. Prescribe only within your scope of practice and comply with NMP governance registration processes. If not already registered as an NMP, you will work towards this qualification.
3. Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately in complex, urgent, or emergency situations.
4. Communicate effectively with patients and carers, adapting communication methods to overcome differences in understanding, cultural backgrounds, and preferences.
5. Maintain effective communication with senior clinical colleagues, the wider team, the organization, and external stakeholders.
6. Understand your role and scope, and identify opportunities for development over time.
7. Assess the effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review, benchmarking, and formal evaluation.
8. Collaborate with other clinical teams to improve healthcare quality, responding to local and national policies and initiatives.
9. Promote the workplace as a learning environment, encouraging continuous learning from each other and external best practices.
10. This is a dual-site role requiring work across both locations. No experience of telephone triage is required as full training will be provided.
11. Position offers full-time and part-time roles with a salary range of £47,500 to £52,763, yearly increments, NHS Pension, and rate enhancements for out-of-hours work.
