Job purpose
This role will provide assurance that the team delivers against the responsibilities above through collaboration with the internal Global Security teams, Liberty Global departments, business units, and the various OpCos and JVs across the countries in which they operate.
The ultimate objective is to ensure that our information and systems are safe and secure by operating in line with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements, resulting in architectures and solutions that reduce technical security risks and vulnerabilities.
A key focus is to develop security architecture, serve as an ambassador for security design best practices, and provide security architecture and design consulting as required.
As an AI/ML Security Architect, you will support all Liberty Global’s AI-related efforts from a security standpoint, ensuring the technical security and integrity of AI and machine learning systems within the organization. You will develop, design, implement, and maintain robust security standards, measures, and controls for AI and ML applications, models, and data, working closely with the business on these initiatives.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and security professionals, and provide general support for security design assurance across various business initiatives.
The AI/ML Security Architect is also responsible for managing demand and activities, ensuring work is prioritized, progress is reported, and promoting team outcomes through peer reviews. You will mentor team members and drive the identification, development, and deployment of use cases and security controls to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
Key accountabilities
1. Develop and implement comprehensive AI/ML security strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines to protect assets and ensure secure operation of AI/ML systems, including enterprise security architecture for AI/ML, CI/CD, and data pipelines.
2. Create and maintain architecture design patterns, reference architectures, and ensure they are up-to-date.
3. Ensure AI/ML systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements and standards such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.
4. Support testing of AI/ML products and models, including adversarial testing in collaboration with development and security teams.
5. Establish relationships with architecture teams across Liberty Global for secure architecture development.
6. Embed security controls into AI/ML applications, models, algorithms, data, and pipelines.
7. Develop and drive the realization of Liberty Global’s security strategy.
8. Monitor and ensure security compliance during project lifecycles.
9. Conduct architectural design reviews for new AI/ML solutions to identify risks and recommend mitigations.
10. Stay updated on emerging AI security threats and technologies, and adapt security measures proactively.
11. Evaluate and adopt security tools and frameworks to enhance security posture.
12. Support and promote security policies, standards, and principles organization-wide.
13. Report on team progress and security metrics to stakeholders.
We tend to look for people with:
* Proven experience in Security Architecture with a focus on AI/ML security, understanding AI technologies, standards, regulations, and controls.
* Extensive experience in technical security controls, AI/ML pipelines, DevSecOps, cloud security, and application security.
* Experience developing security architectures, standards, and whitepapers.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
Further Experience in:
* Threat modeling, risk analysis, and architectural assessments for AI/ML solutions.
* Knowledge of vulnerabilities and threats specific to AI/ML, MITRE ATLAS, OWASP.
* Identity and Access Management, Data Leakage Prevention, Cryptography, Cloud security (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI).
* Security design, automation, and programming in Python, R, C++, Rust, or Java, with security considerations.
* Experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax, scikit-learn.

Preferred qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience, relevant certifications (CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, OSCP, SANS/GIAC), and cloud/AI/ML certifications.
