Equans is looking for a Mobile Water Treatment Technician (Tier 3) to join our team in Scotland. The mobile role will cover the Central Belt between Glasgow and Edinburgh. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
Responsibilities
* Represent EQUANS Water Compliance as a Tier 3 Water Treatment Technician/Engineer and execute the delivery of all water hygiene/treatment services across the Central Belt.
* Build trust with clients and work closely with the technical team, schedulers and contract administrators to efficiently deliver planned and remedial works using system tools.
* Perform tasks including temperature monitoring, showerhead descales, cold‑water storage tank inspections & cleans, cooling tower disinfection, TMV servicing, water sampling, LTHW system testing & analysis, inhibitor and biocide dosing, cooling system testing, steam boiler testing, water softener servicing, and plumbing remedial works.
* Ensure site L8 logbooks are up to date and accurate while acting as the primary technician.
* Liaise with the team for material purchases using the preferred supplier list.
* Complete work reports via day‑works sheets or Planon in a timely manner.
* Carry out remedial works in response to quoted jobs.
* Perform PPM service visits using appropriate tools and systems.

Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant qualifications and/or experience for the role.
* Legionella awareness training and comprehensive knowledge of regulations, byelaws, ACOP, HSG274 and related guidance.
* Extensive knowledge of water hygiene and treatment service delivery requirements (Table 2.1 HSG274 Part 2 and Appendix 3.1 HSG274 Part 3).
* At least 3 years of experience in water hygiene or treatment.
* City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 equivalent qualification in plumbing, heating (closed loops) or chemistry.
* Current awareness of technical regulations including Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
* TMV servicing experience (training in WH018 preferred).
* Water sampling experience, including knowledge of sample suites and bottle types.
* Clean‑and‑disinfection experience (WH005 and W258 training preferred).
* Closed‑loop testing and dosing experience (W252 training and W276 training preferred).
* Cooling tower testing and water treatment experience (W255 and W256 training preferred).
* Steam boiler experience (W260 training preferred).
* Valid driving licence.
* Valid DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists required.
