London, Notting Hill, Salary £40,000-£45,000 per annum
A warm and loving family in Notting Hill is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nanny/Housekeeper to care for their 5.5-year-old son. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, household management, and a strong background in providing high-quality support for a busy family.
The position is Live-in, and offers an opportunity for international travel across Europe. A French-Speaking Nanny is highly preferred, as the family is keen for their son to learn and be immersed in the French language.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide loving, attentive care for the 5.5-year-old boy, including school pickups, playtime, meal preparation, and bedtime routines
* Help with homework, and provide educational activities that foster the child’s development
* Keep the child’s bedroom and play areas tidy and organised
* Assist with light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and general tidying of common areas
* Prepare healthy, balanced meals for the child, and occasionally for the family
* Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times
* Organise and participate in fun and educational outings
* Travel with the family to European destinations, and assist in childcare and household management whilst abroad
Desired Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a Nanny/Housekeeper in a private household, with experience caring for young children
* Fluency in French is strongly preferred to support the child’s language development
* A nurturing, patient, and calm demeanour with excellent communication skills
* Ability to manage a variety of household duties efficiently and independently
* Flexible, reliable, and willing to travel with the family
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Must have an understanding of child development, and be proactive in engaging the child in educational and creative activities
Ideal Candidate
* Someone with a warm, loving nature who is passionate about working with children and supporting a family’s daily life
* A French speaker, ideally with a background or interest in early childhood education
* A self-starter who is trustworthy, discreet, and has a keen eye for detail
* Flexible, energetic, and enthusiastic about travelling with the family
Schedule
Full-time, live-in position. Some flexibility required for travel and occasional evening/weekend work
Salary
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum (negotiable for the right candidate)
