Are you an IT-savvy problem solver with hands-on experience in fast-paced environments? We’re hiring a Warehouse IT & Automation Support Technician on behalf of our Global client based in Bury St Edmunds. The role purpose is to provide frontline support for our cutting-edge warehouse systems - from IT hardware to automated technologies like AGV robots.
You’ll be the first point of contact for technical issues across the warehouse, ensuring smooth operation of both IT systems and automation equipment. This hands-on role bridges warehouse operations and technology - ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems quickly and independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and troubleshoot Warehouse Management and Execution Systems (WMS/WES)
* Provide first-line support for hardware including PCs, barcode scanners, printers, and network devices
* Restart and perform basic troubleshooting on AGV robots and other automation equipment
* Escalate complex technical issues to the head office IT team
* Minimise downtime by ensuring systems and devices remain fully operational
* Log incidents and maintain accurate records of all resolutions
We’re looking for someone practical, resourceful, and ready to hit the ground running in a busy, tech-driven warehouse.
Essential:
* Previous experience in an IT support or technical operations role (warehouse environment a plus)
* Solid understanding of computer hardware, basic networking, and troubleshooting
* Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
* Quick learner, comfortable picking up new systems and technologies
Nice to have:
* Experience with warehouse automation systems (e.g. AGVs)
* Chinese language skills (advantageous but not required)
* Full UK driving licence (preferred due to site accessibility)
