Health Care Support Worker – Older Peoples & Stroke Service
Location: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, older peoples & stroke services ward 2 at ACH New Victoria Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Assist trained nursing staff in delivering patient care procedures and providing basic nursing care.
* Support patients with activities of daily living and coordinate with registered nurses and other clinical team members to deliver patient care.
* Co‑operate with other disciplines that attend and treat service users to maximise patient care, maintaining good relationships and an empathic approach to clients, carers and relatives.
* Act as a liaison for clients, addressing questions and concerns and referring them appropriately to a trained nurse.
Qualifications
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to excel in a busy working environment.
* Preferred: previous hospital experience in an acute setting (not essential).
Working Hours
Full‑time, 12‑hour day/night shift rotation, including weekends and public holidays.
