The BT group operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.
As Product Manager within the Media and Broadcast team and as part of the wider BT Wholesale business, you would be responsible for the TV Outside Broadcast product set and the mentoring, coaching, and line management of one direct report.
Responsibilities include owning, developing, and implementing strategy, new product development, managing profit & loss, bid management, in-life development, and commercial management.

What you’ll be doing
* Owning the business case for new products and the P & L for existing products portfolio
* Identifying and implementing plans to achieve ambitious goals and overcome obstacles
* Leading, developing, and managing products to optimize long-term contribution over their lifecycle
* Owning the product plan, pricing strategy, development budget, and roadmap. Managing other portfolio/product managers to build a high-performing culture, setting direction for a virtual team across the business
* Taking responsibility for strategic alignment, planning, budgeting, investment, supplier relationships, cost control, quality of service, development of SoRs, management of development and launch plans, customer satisfaction, supporting sales channels and marketing, product information, working with operations and service design & delivery on feature enhancement, cost reduction, pre-sales support, legal and regulatory obligations, industry forums, customer interaction, complaints handling, and complex projects
* Maintaining a reputation with the senior team for leading product development & management activities across the Business Unit, country, or region
* Developing relationships within the Media and Broadcast industry and remaining recognized as an authority on Product internally and externally
Experience needed to be successful in the role
* End-to-end product lifecycle management: Skills from concept to market, with the ability to assess new concepts quickly and manage in-life developments
* Industry knowledge: Experience within the broadcast industry, ideally with Outside Broadcasting knowledge
* Customer empathy: Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into business outcomes, championing customer needs
* Business and commercial acumen: Experience in P&L management, building business cases based on data and insights
* Pricing strategy: Experience in setting pricing strategies, discounts, bundles, and offers
* Financial Management: Managing revenue, costs, and optimizing business performance
* Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating reputational and commercial risks
* Negotiation skills: Skilled in complex commercial negotiations
* Legal and Regulatory: Understanding of legal/regulatory environment and risk management
* Stakeholder Management: Building relationships and influencing at all organizational levels
* Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, shape customer thinking
