Job Description:
Here at NCHA we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join new Mental Health support service in Nottingham
NCHA are looking for support workers to join our new Mental Health Support Service in Nottingham. You’ll be supporting service users in the community to overcome issues in their daily lives that have been impacting negatively on their mental health and wellbeing.
You’ll support service users to identify barriers/challenges to living independently and, by utilising a strengths-based approach, develop a support plan to enable service users to remain independent in the community or facilitate a timely discharge from psychiatric wards.
We will be delivering a 12-week intervention involving one-to-one community support, supporting service users to recover and overcome issues impacting their mental health and wellbeing.
The primary focus of the service is to enable service users to remain independent in the community and to facilitate discharge from psychiatric wards.
Where will this be based
We’re looking for someone with the values, knowledge, and skills to support clients with mental health needs, demonstrating how they use their skills and common sense to support vulnerable individuals. Candidates should have a commitment to maintaining dignity and rights, with excellent communication skills. Previous experience is desirable but not mandatory; transferable skills from other sectors are welcome.
Working times and hours
Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, 20 hours a week.
