So, what will I be doing?
As a Technical Operator, you're an integral member of the Production team on our Blagdon site, responsible for operating and optimising complex machines and processing equipment. Using your operational/mechanical skills and knowledge, you will be the go-to person in the team for support with complex operational processes and identifying root cause of underlying problems.
Key responsibilities:
* Effective operation and optimisation of equipment to meet production demand and deliver high-quality products.
* Ownership of performance and yield in your area/asset to optimise running conditions and lead mechanical improvement activities, ensuring effective resource use.
* Analysis and interpretation of operational machine parameters to support decision-making and drive improvements.
* Accurate and timely recording of downtime and raw material usage.
* Advanced fault finding, decision making, and rectification on equipment, leading root cause analysis and escalation when necessary.
* Proper care of equipment through cleaning and maintenance tasks.
* Effective communication and handovers within the team to identify challenges and opportunities.
* Training, coaching, and mentoring team members to build capability.
* Promoting a positive team environment, taking action quickly, and encouraging others.
* Commitment to Health & Safety by working safely, role modelling safety behaviors, and addressing unsafe practices.
* Routine checks to maintain equipment safety and compliance, escalating safety or quality issues as needed.
* Participation in quality management systems to ensure food safety and product quality.
* Adherence to GMP, hygiene standards, PPE, and dress code, leading by example.
Hours: 4 Days on, 4 Days off / 06:00 - 18:00

* Basic food hygiene knowledge
