The Community Safety Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for delivering a high-quality, victim-focused service across anti-social behaviour (ASB), safeguarding, domestic abuse, and tenancy enforcement. The role involves guiding a team of up to 10 direct reports, shaping policy and practice, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create safe, inclusive, and resilient neighbourhoods. The postholder will champion organisational values and lead initiatives that promote wellbeing, equality, and continuous improvement.
Key Duties
* Lead and manage ASB, safeguarding, and tenancy enforcement services, ensuring proactive, efficient, and victim-centred approaches.
* Develop and implement legally compliant strategies and policies for ASB, hate crime, domestic abuse, and safeguarding, embedding best practice across the organisation.
* Chair internal serious case reviews and attend safeguarding boards, providing expert input and oversight.
* Prepare safeguarding reports for executive leadership and board-level review.
* Recruit, train, and motivate staff, ensuring consistent service delivery and high performance.
* Build effective partnerships to deliver customer-focused outcomes and meet statutory responsibilities.

Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate
* Level 3 or higher in relevant fields including: Community Safety/Public Protection, Housing (e.g. CIH Level 3/4), Social Work
* Willing to work towards further qualifications if not already held.
* Experienced at least 2 years leading a team in ASB and Safeguarding Services within a social housing context.
* Minimum of 2 years in enforcement role
* Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulation
* In-depth knowledge of legal tools under the AB, Crime and Policing Act 2024
* Full drivers license
* Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding (adults and children), domestic abuse, and Prevention
* Resolve ASB Accredited Practitioner Certificate (desirable)
* Training in conflict resolution, mediation, DASH risk assessment, mental health awareness (desirable)
