Our client is on the hunt for a creative, detail-driven, and technically skilled Product Developer / Garment Technologist to join a fast-growing, forward-thinking Sports Teamwear company in Greater Manchester.

The Role
As Product Developer/Garment Technologist you’ll own the technical development of sports teamwear garments from concept through to production. You’ll collaborate with designers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure every product meets functional, fit, and brand standards. Your work will directly shape the quality and performance of what athletes wear on game day.
Key Responsibilities
Tech Pack Creation: Build and maintain accurate tech packs and size charts using Illustrator & Excel
Sample & Fit Management: Evaluate samples for quality, construction, and fit
Supplier Communication: Give clear, actionable feedback on prototypes and materials
Material & Trim Development: Assist in sourcing and approving new fabrics and trims
Quality Control: Conduct wear tests and ensure adherence to technical standards
Project Management: Maintain development calendars and ensure deadlines are met
Product Research: Keep up with trends, fabrics, and new technologies in teamwear
You’ll Need…
3+ years’ experience in sportswear technical product development/ Garment Tech
Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator & Excel
Hands-on experience creating tech packs, fit notes, and size specs
Eye for detail and a passion for technical garment construction
Great communicator with supplier liaison experience
Passion for team sports and performance apparel
Experience with Centric PLM software is a big plus!
