Title: Hardware Test Engineer
Duration: 6 months; or 12 months, both with extensions
Work Address: Brentwood base – comfortable commuting to Basingstoke 2-3 times per week for current project (paid for/expensed)
Days onsite/hours: 5 days onsite
Interview Process:
· 2 round interview - on Teams - 30 minutes each round
Must Have
· 5+ years of experience testing and engineering electronic hardware products
o Set top boxes, routers, TV’s, etc.
· Python Scripting Experience for automation
· Knowledge of EMC, Radio, and Safety Compliance Standards in the UK and the US
· Able to use test kits such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analysers, etc.
· Experience pulling data reports and putting them into presentation format
o Candidate will not be doing the presentations, but will need to gather the reporting data and produce a presentable report to non-technical stakeholders
· Great communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to work as an individual contributor in a small team environment

· Industry experience within Media, Streaming Services, or Telecom
· Understanding of Network principals
Day-to-Day
· Insight Global is seeking an Electronic Test Engineer to sit in Brentwood, 5-days per week. Working hours are 9-5:30PM BST. There will be light travel involved for this role, travelling to different test houses to test various hardware products – this will be paid for/expensed. The Electronic Test Engineer will support off-site testing of consumer hardware products (set top boxes, routers, PC's, TVs, etc) and ensure they comply with product safety regulations within the US, UK, and EU. All products are built on a Linux-based platform - the candidate will be expected to run Python test scripts to automate the running of tests in external environments. Candidate will gather data from testing reports and produce presentable documentation on the testing outcome, which will be shared with technical and non-technical stake holders. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of EMC and Radio frequencies with a familiarity using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and/or spectrum analysers. Candidates must have great communication and documentation skills with strong business acumen. Must be comfortable working independently, and in a small team environment.
