About the role
We have a great opportunity for a Process Technician to join our team at the Crawley Sewage Treatment Works. You do not need a background in the water industry – we welcome applicants from outside the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.
What you’ll be doing as the Process Technician (Waste)
* Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
* Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on‑site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
* Attending to reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
* Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
* Carrying out daily site checks to ensure compliant operation.
Base Location
Crawley – RH10 3NW
Working Pattern
38 Hours Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 15:36 pm plus occasional overtime requirement on weekends.
Requirements
* Full UK driver’s licence.
* Self‑motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team, disciplined, with a can‑do attitude.
* Ownership of responding quickly to faults, curiosity to fully understand the problem and identify the best solution to resolve it the first time.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the team.
* Teamwork – one team, same end goals.
* Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
* Prepared to be trained in safety procedures and aware of health and safety standards.
