About The Role:
The Crowd are partnered with a multi award-winning Landscape design studio that are looking for a creative and experienced Design Director to lead their international landscape/urban realm projects. With projects around the globe, you will be leading an array of large-scale, design-led schemes across a range of sectors including public realm, civic, mixed-use and arts & culture.
This is an opportunity to join a creative and collaborative international studio, where you will be a key member of the team and have high-level influence on the direction of the studio. The ideal person will have previously led projects varying in size and will be a confident yet nurturing leader who has the ability to support the strategic direction of a business whilst also being comfortable in a client facing position.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be an integral part of a prestigious and highly recognised name in the international landscape design space. The role offers flexible working arrangement and opportunity for personal growth within a leading design practice!
Key Responsibilities:
* Creative oversight across all projects in the London studio and support wider international teams
* Lead schemes from inception through all project stages
* Nurture internal talent and collaborate with designers
* Coordination and collaboration with the wider team in the international offices
* Lead communication with clients
* Support with business development and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders
* Support with strategic leadership to assist with growth of the business
Key Skills/Requirements:
* Chartered Landscape Architect or international equivalent
* Experience leading global projects at a range of scales
* Strong computational design knowledge
* Ideally a background in fine art
* Diverse sector exposure
* Proven experience in a creative lead role
* Experience managing clients and business development
