The postholder will be an ambassador for Home-Start Wokingham District, working to raise funds to support the organisation and build awareness of our work in the local community. In this role, you’ll provide outstanding stewardship to community supporters, organise events and fundraising opportunities, as well as maximise our marketing for both fundraising and awareness raising.

* Represent Home-Start Wokingham District at local events, giving presentations, effectively networking and talking to supporters about our work.
* Design, test and run community fundraising initiatives, as well as collaborating on the organisation of Home-Start Wokingham Events e.g. golf days, open mornings and celebration events.
* Oversee stewardship of community and individual fundraisers, building engagement and maximising lifetime value.
* Assist the Operations Manager and Board of Trustees in developing multi‑year fundraising plans, and collaboratively track and forecast income and expenditure.
Community Engagement
* Manage Home-Start Wokingham District’s social media channels (currently Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram), co‑ordinating with colleagues to produce engaging and on‑brand content.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers through regular contact and engagement events.
* Manage relationships with local media outlets and/or collaborators, building relationships in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
* Constantly try and test new ideas, keeping up with the latest trends and identifying ways that Home-Start Wokingham District can benefit.
* Identify and implement new communication methods to improve engagement, in consultation with the Operations Manager.

* Support the implementation and continual review of all Home-Start policies and procedures.
* Comply with administration, monitoring and financial systems.
* Act as an ambassador for Home-Start Wokingham District, and the families that we support, and support the local, regional and national development of Home-Start.
* Although this is a role that does not require direct interaction with beneficiaries, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility & the successful candidate will be required to complete safeguarding training.
