Major Recruitment are looking to hire an Office Administrator for our well-established family-run engineering company based in Melbourne, Derbyshire. As an Office Administrator, you'll be an integral part of our administration team, responsible for managing customer orders and quotes to invoicing and credit control. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong IT skills-particularly in Excel-and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Location: Melbourne, Derbyshire Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour Contract Type: Temp to Perm Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm) Main Duties: Providing friendly and professional support to customers via phone and email. Receiving and processing customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Preparing and sending invoices, handling any credit control issues, and ensuring all accounts are kept up to date. Preparing quotes, delivery notes, and reports using SAPMAN and Sage. Dealing with any queries or complaints effectively, ensuring the best customer experience. Assisting the Department Manager with administrative tasks, presentations, and ad hoc duties as required. Ensuring all activities meet company standards and legal requirements. Essential Requirements: Confident in Excel and comfortable using it for data management, reporting, and other administrative tasks. A keen eye for numbers and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Confident with written and verbal communication, and able to handle customer inquiries effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
